Akya has accomplished so much on her journey so far. Akya has become an author having self-published her first book “Single Moms Pray.”
She is an Aveda trained hair stylist, professionally trained makeup artist and licensed cosmologist. She is an experienced public speaker, inspirational vocalist with a new single out called, “I Can’t Lose,” and actress who has toured the East coast and Canada. Akya’s dream is to inspire others to face their fears and make their dreams become reality. Akya Canada is the Owner operator of Jesus Jewel Ministries L.L.C, Hope 2 Heal Outreach since 2018 and Esteem beauty bar since 2019. She is Project Manager, Outreach enthusiast with a passion to meet the needs and exceed expectations of the community. Recently appointed to president over the Outreach and Evangelism department at her local church United Nations Church Charlotte.
Akya has created and executed yearly events through her organizations catered to Single Mothers, Feeding the Community, Back to School events and Peace/Prayer walks through the Hidden Valley Community. Recently she has been working alongside Heal Charlotte with the Stop the Violence Day Initiative for the past two years and is a new found member of the Commonwealth bank board of community advisors for the Generation 2080 program as of 2022. She is a visionary, creative, optimistic, out of the box and get it done servant Female John the Baptist making the way to prepare people for Jesus's return. The greatest among you SERVE.
